Hi Reader, In this update:
📸 Going on a $20 Photo-shootHave you used the same image on your LinkedIn profile for the last few years? I felt like I needed some fresh images but I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting dolled up and leaving the house for a photo shoot. That's when I stumbled upon TryitonAI. For just $17USD, I uploaded 10 photos of myself and within 24 hours, I had 100 images sent back to me (here's a random sample). While not all of the images were realistic enough for me to use, I was excited to see myself in different outfits and haircuts. It got me thinking about how online retailers could use this technology to allow their customers to virtually try on clothes before making a purchase. I feel like I'm not adapting to the technology fast enough... While I love playing with these tools, I already feel like I'm way behind on all this tech stuff, and not learning fast enough. Do you relate? I'm keeping an eye on Twitter most days to see what people are talking about, and also following tech YouTubers to keep up to date. I've also realised I can use tools like Chat GPT to help me continue learning, or even write study plans. Here's a great example Tina Huang, ex-data scientist at Meta shared recently on How to learn to code using Chat GPT. Follow her example/workflow to create a study plan on anything you like! Just swap out "Learn how to code" for the skill you want to learn. >> Also a fun tip, if you want to see if there's an AI tool for something you need, search Future Tools. 🪣 Bucket list tick: Workshopping with my dadLast week, I co-facilitated a workshop with my dad, Aneurin Hughes at the AMPEAK Conference in Sydney! AMPEAK is the annual Asset Management professionals conference. Dad's an engineer and highly analytical, and detail-oriented (I'm at the opposite end of that continuum), so the dynamic worked well. Our session was called Hit The Ground Running: Creating and Sustaining Contractor Value from Day One. The pre-conference cocktail party was at Madame Tussauds. AMPEAK booked the whole place out, so you could linger and get selfies with all the wax stars. I did giggle when the host gave us the event housekeeping, telling us all: "Don't stand still!"

📘 Leanne Hughes' Red Carpet Experience: Testimonials and your invitation to join me!I was delighted to share the red carpet with two incredible leaders last month. It's a service where we not only riff and ideate with bold but actually DO THE WORK together. In person: Rooftop bubbles with Jo Fitzgerald in Brisbane Congrats to Jo for backing herself, and getting on that flight from Wellington to Brisbane last month. Plus, look how natural she is on video! Check out Jo Fitzgerald's work here. She helps people work better together today, with a specific focus on taking deliberate actions as a leader. In the video below, Jo shares her experience on the red carpet. Virtually: Thought partnership and metaphor-making with Dr Zaretta Hammond In her book, Culturally Responsive Teaching and The Brain, Zaretta creates language around educational philosophies to gain attention, engagement, and ultimately behavioural change, and she backs it up with neuroscience. Clever. Zaretta and I worked together on the red carpet to rapidly create a prototype for modifying an old 2-day workshop, into a new 1-day offering. Check out Zaretta's work here. Zaretta shared, "When you’re a solopreneur designing workshops like me, it’s easy to get stuck in your own head during the creative process. Leanne’s program is like the best parts of having a design team to work with. She knows the principles of workshop design, adult learning, and facilitation. From this depth of expertise, she offers thought partnership, new facilitation tools and group activities, and suggests innovative tech options." Interested in hanging out for a day? When you book a Red Carpet Experience with me, you get a whole day of my time to work on any aspect of your business and GET IT DONE. This is available virtually or in-person in Brisbane (or, if you’re willing to fund travel, I'm there!) Write me for details. 🦜 Work in Public

In this 75 minute masterclass (with Q&A), I’ll go behind the scenes to share with you:...

Hi Reader, Let's just say...something not great / not the best happened to me recently that I wanted to share with you. I woke up one sunny Thursday morning (not this Thursday, there's a cyclone brewing off the coast right now). I had a delicious coffee and couldn't wait to start the day. Then I made the mistake of checking my phone. I immediately felt my stomach drop. I had posted something for feedback in a consultant's forum overnight, and I woke up to the response. The feedback was......
